Security Notice: Fraudulent Mindmup App in the Chrome Web Store
A fraudulent version of Mindmup, labeled as version 3.0, previously appeared in the Chrome Web Store. Do not install this app. It was not created, authorized, or affiliated with Mindmup in any way and posed a potential security risk to user data.
The application used the Mindmup name and logo but was not an official release. To be clear, there is no Mindmup version 3.0.
At the time, the scammers managed to convince Chrome Web Store maintainers to remove the official Mindmup 2 app and list the fraudulent one instead. As a result, searches for Mindmup showed only the fake app. We reported this issue to the Chrome Web Store team, and the offending application has since been removed.
How to Access the Official Mindmup App
To ensure you’re using the authorized version of Mindmup:
Use Mindmup for Google Drive directly at https://drive.mindmup.com
Avoid installing any Chrome Web Store app claiming to be a newer or unofficial version of Mindmup.
