Overview
If an image or file attachment isn't uploading, displaying, or opening correctly in Mindmup, try the troubleshooting steps below.
Try the upload again
If the upload appears stuck or doesn't complete, try selecting the image or file again.
You can also refresh the map and try the upload again. If possible, wait for the first upload attempt to finish or fail before starting another one.
Try a different image or file
If the problem happens with only one image or attachment, try uploading a different file.
If the second file works, the issue may be specific to the original file. You can also try saving the original file in a different format and uploading the new version.
Check your internet connection
A slow or unstable connection can interrupt an upload. If the upload repeatedly fails, check that your internet connection is working normally and try again.
If you're on a shared or public network, try a more stable connection if one is available.
Try a different browser
If the problem continues, try opening the map in another browser and upload the image or attachment again.
You can also make sure your current browser is up to date. If the upload works in another browser, this can help determine whether the problem is related to your browser.
Refresh the map
If an image or attachment was uploaded but doesn't appear correctly, refresh the map and check again.
If the problem persists after refreshing, try removing and uploading the image or attachment again.
Check whether the problem affects other files
Try uploading another image or attachment to the same node, or to a different node in the map.
This can help determine whether the problem is limited to one file, one node, or the map itself.
Use the keyboard shortcut
You can use I to add an image or change the existing image associated with a node.
Press A to view or edit a node attachment.
If the shortcut doesn't work, try using the node's quick menu instead.
Check for an error message
If Mindmup displays an error message when you try to upload or open an image or attachment, note the exact message.
If possible, include the message when contacting support. A screenshot of the error can also help us identify what went wrong.
If the problem continues
