Using Mindmup in private Microsoft Teams channels
You can now collaborate more effectively in private Microsoft Teams channels with Mindmup.
Previously, mind maps could only be embedded in standard Microsoft Teams channels. Private channels—designed for focused collaboration with restricted access—did not support embedded maps. That limitation is now removed.
Embedding maps in private channels
When you embed a Mindmup map into a private channel tab, everyone who has access to that channel automatically gets access to the map. There’s no need to manage sharing permissions separately.
A key difference from standard channels is that this access also applies to external users who have been invited to the private channel.
Subscription requirements
Private channels allow inviting users outside your Microsoft Teams tenant. Because of that, using Mindmup in private channels requires a subscription add-in.
For pricing details and instructions on extending your subscription to support private channels, see the Add-in for private channels section in the Mindmup for Microsoft Teams tutorial.
