Sharing a map with a team gives team members access to the same map without requiring you to invite each person individually. This is useful for projects, planning, meeting notes, and other maps that a group needs to access together.
In Mindmup, you can share a map with a specific team or with All members of your organization.
Share a map with a specific team
- Open the map you want to share.
- Click Share in the top-right corner.
- Under Invite, select Share with teams.
- Choose the team you want to share the map with.
- Click Share.
The map is now shared with the selected team.
Share a map with everyone in your organization
If the map should be available to everyone in your organization:
- Open the map.
- Click Share in the top-right corner.
- Under Invite, select Share with teams.
- Choose All members of your organization.
- Click Share.
Check who has access to a map
You can review the map's current sharing settings at any time.

- Click Share.
- Check the Shared with section.
This section shows who the map is shared with and their access level. You can also manage or remove access from here.
Example use cases
- Sharing maps with teams is useful when you want to:
- Give a project team access to a shared planning map.
- Share meeting notes with everyone on a team.
- Make a brainstorming map available to a working group.
- Give a department access to a map used for ongoing work.
- Share a resource with everyone in your organization.
Tips
- Share with a specific team when only that group needs access to the map.
- Use All members of your organization only when the map is relevant to everyone in the organization.
- Check Shared with if you're unsure who currently has access.
- Review access when a project ends or when a map no longer needs to be shared with a team.
- If you only need to share a map with one or two people, inviting them directly by email may be more appropriate than sharing with an entire team.
Common questions
Do I need to invite every team member individually?
No. You can use Share with teams to share the map with a specific team instead of entering each member's email address individually.
Can I share a map with everyone in my organization?
Yes. Select All members of your organization when sharing the map.
How can I see which teams or people have access?
Open the map and click Share. The Shared with section shows who currently has access and their access level.
Can I remove access later?
Yes. Open Share, find the relevant person or group under Shared with, and remove their access.
Why can't I share a map with everyone in my organization?
Organization privacy settings can control whether members are allowed to share maps with All members of your organization. If this option is unavailable, your organization's sharing settings may restrict it.

Share your next map with your team
Open a map you're already working on and click Share to make it available to the team that needs it. Sharing with a team can be especially useful for maps that support ongoing projects, meetings, or collaborative work.
For a new project, you can also start with a new map and share it with the appropriate team as soon as you're ready for others to access it.
